John Blake (deafhope) > When you are on video, you must have special make-up to look natural under the bright video lights. Pastor Trexler is getting his preparation.

John Blake (deafhope) > Pastor Trexler's son, Arthur, who knew his father's signing so well, was the voice interpreter for the sound track. In reality, Arthur was not dressed like this, but upstairs in a little sound cubile, often sweating in the heat, while he watched his father's signing down on the main floor. Arthur interpreted everything 'live' as his father did the presentations for the camera. Many times Arthur had to work with Jim Doss in skillfully making little corrections here and there.

John Blake (deafhope) > After each presentation, Esther Doss asked the presenter, Pastor David Trexler, special questions about the topic he had just presented. These questions may take from about 7 to 20 minutes.

John Blake (deafhope) > Pastor Trexler used hundreds of pictures and texts to illustrate his 26 Bible TV programs in sign language. Many of the texts were shown using Easy English versions of the Bible - so his lectures could be more easily understood. The lectures are available on either video tape or DVD.

John Blake (deafhope) > Jim Doss, the 'sound man' watching as his brother, Chip Doss, plays back what was just recorded. On the right (standing), Pastor Trexler watches to see how it all looks on video. All the equipment, the video set and lighting had to brought into a gym and classroom for this large project. We guess that this is one of the largest Bible Study video projects ever done in sign language by a deaf presenter.
