John Blake (deafhope) > The picture, given us by Graham Weir, after he visited the original site of the deaf school in the down of Kollegal. It had two rooms and though a good school, met under difficult circumstances with teachers having to sleep in the classrooms with the children at night. The new school is so wonderful in comparison - out in the country, and dormitory and class rooms. The school was apparently started by the Lutheran church and when about to close, was taken over by Asian Aid. Students must each be sponsored in order to be at the school.

The "Deaf Fellowship Days" are often held monthly around the Province of Alberta rotating around to areas where the deaf members live.
John Blake (deafhope) > Pastor Trexler used hundreds of pictures and texts to illustrate his 26 Bible TV programs in sign language. Many of the texts were shown using Easy English versions of the Bible - so his lectures could be more easily understood. The lectures are available on either video tape or DVD.
John Blake (deafhope) > After each presentation, Esther Doss asked the presenter, Pastor David Trexler, special questions about the topic he had just presented. These questions may take from about 7 to 20 minutes.
