The picture, given us by Graham Weir, after he visited the original site of the deaf school in the down of Kollegal. It had two rooms and though a good school, met under difficult circumstances with teachers having to sleep in the classrooms with the children at night. The new school is so wonderful in comparison - out in the country, and dormitory and class rooms. The school was apparently started by the Lutheran church and when about to close, was taken over by Asian Aid. Students must each be sponsored in order to be at the school.
